Image Compressor
Compress JPG, PNG and WebP images to make them load faster and take up less space. It's completely free, works on any device, and your files never leave your browser — there's no upload and no signup.
How to compress an image
- Drag your images in or click Choose files.
- Set the quality slider — 80% is a good balance of size and quality.
- Optionally change the output format, then click Compress.
- Download each result or grab them all as a ZIP.
Private by design
Compression runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are processed 100% on your device and are never uploaded to a server, so even sensitive photos stay private. There are no accounts, no watermarks and no per-day limits.
Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my images get?
It depends on the original. Photos saved at 100% quality often shrink 40–70% at quality 80 with little visible difference. Already-optimized files may shrink less.
Does compressing reduce image quality?
Lossy compression discards some detail to save space. At quality 80 the loss is usually imperceptible; lower the slider for smaller files or raise it to preserve more detail.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser with the Canvas API, so your images stay on your device the whole time.
Can I compress many images at once?
Yes. Select multiple files and download all the compressed results together as a single ZIP archive.
