Image Resizer
Resize images by exact pixel dimensions or by percentage, with full control over aspect ratio, fit and resampling quality. It's free, requires no signup, and runs entirely in your browser so your files stay private.
How to resize an image
- Add one or more images.
- Choose to resize by pixels or by percentage.
- Enter your target size and toggle lock aspect ratio as needed.
- Click Resize, then download the results.
Private by design
Resizing runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are processed 100% on your device and are never uploaded to a server, so even sensitive photos stay private. There are no accounts, no watermarks and no per-day limits.
Frequently asked questions
What does lock aspect ratio do?
When on, setting just the width (or height) scales the other dimension automatically so the image isn't stretched. Turn it off to set width and height independently.
What's the difference between contain, cover and stretch?
Contain fits the whole image inside your target box. Cover fills the box and may exceed one dimension. Stretch forces the exact width and height, ignoring the original ratio.
Will resizing make my file bigger?
Enlarging adds pixels and can increase file size; shrinking usually reduces it. The results panel shows the before and after size for each image.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Resizing happens locally in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.
